Religious disputes are rampant in Pakistan. From 1947 to today, the percentage of Non-Muslims declined to three percent (Ispahani, n.d.). Past crimes towards Hindus included targeted bombing, kidnappings and the destruction of many Hindu places of worship throughout the country (Ispahani, n.d.). Despite the founding father’s liberal approach to religion in Pakistan, many Anti-Hindu groups continue to target these groups. Records show that forced conversions began to increase in the 1980’s (Ispahani, n.d.). Information on this group would be given a 3 as well as information on the country’s demographic as a whole. Based on the evidence of the targeting of Hindu’s as well as the deliberate action to “cleanse” Pakistan of non-Muslims, this group is a victim of ethnocide.
